Spent most of the day playing Reckoning. Was nice. Advanced far.
Level 18, Crusader (level 4 fighter/mage). Am now the Queen of the Hall of Ballads, having vanquished the Maid of Windemere – who was difficult!!! Took a few tries.
I basically have Haxhi and Lorca-Rane cleared, including quests, with the exception of Ohn's Stand which I haven't gotten a quest for. Odd.
Moving on to The Sidhe and back to the main quest next time I play, which may be a while – I want to play some Elder Scrolls.
Toyed with the long sword (even a flaming one like I'm always fond of) but came back to my new love, the greatsword. Made one special for myself, the. Also found a unique blade called Fortune. Oh and a unique (purple) sceptre too. Been doing a bunch of gem crafting too.
Figured out what to do with the Echostones finally, and got a side quest to find stolen treasures rom some old civilization, which have been thrown into bodies of water around the Faelands. Found two already, think the others are in areas I haven't been to yet, further east.
A lot of clothing changes accompanied the weapon changes, mainly because of my acquisition of a full set of Hall of Ballads Robes. But I felt like I was giving up a lot with doing all Robes all the time, and the main stuff in the set-effects I was interested was for 2- and 3-pieces, the fourth less so. So I now have Ballads gear on my head, hands and feet, but not the robe (which also took up two armor slots anyway.) There I have my cuirass and chauses like before. Works nicely.
Oh, also have the Ballads shield, at least for the moment.
Finished lots of little quests: the two surrounding the missing teenagers in Lorca-Rane, the one for Brother Holt involving his missing brother in Splitrock caves, also the one for the gnomish surveyor there. I thought there was going to be more of a bit with him, some Avatar-like bit about the Company despoiling the Nature etc. Maybe later. Well, of course the whole bit with Father Eadric and Brother Wulf, the prism ere dust, going down the well, etc. Thought everything with the whistle was cool, and especially that it came back and was so pivotal later, in Windemere.
Ended just inside Ohn's Stand. Not sure what to do. Apparently the Tuatha take their name from Mr. Ohn. Not sure what to make of that. (Ok, so I checked the wiki — I guess there's a Faction quest here for the Traveler story, which I'm not really doing. I'll just treat it is a dungeon to clean out at some point.)
